It's not okay, and just kinda weird, that people around here think 70 degrees is hot. Sure, it does feel hot when there's no air conditioning in the gym. But no, it's not "hot". You are just "weird".
It's okay that, after I dropped my husband off at the airport, I came home, ate several s'mores at midnight, and went to bed at 1am. And then slept til 10am.
And then, it's also okay, that I skipped Pilates on Tuesday night. I spent the time doing stretches and whatnot in front of the t.v. It wasn't about the workout. It was about leaving the house. As in, I didn't want to.
It's not okay that I almost skipped RIPPED on Wednesday morning. Luckily, the good side of my conscience made me go by making me realize that I literally had nothing else to do. (Sitting in front of the computer, unfortunately, does not burn calories.)
It's okay that, for the first time ever, I cut all of the grass in one fell swoop. Took approximately 98 minutes. I did some weed-eating too and shot myself in the face with a pebble. (One time, I accidentally "weed-eated" my shin.)
'Tis okay that I've set some goals. No Starbucks or candy binges until September 1st. Hopefully, like last fall, once I cement this habit, it just becomes the norm and then I don't have to actively think about it anymore.
Also, no new clothes until August 1st when I will allow myself to buy some new dressy things for school. When my husband leaves, if I don't have an action plan, I will end up on a Target, Old Navy, or American Eagle binge. I'm being proactive.
As for being thankful? (Thankful Thursday @The Ramblings of Mrs. Hargrave)
Well, I'm thankful for the sunshine. And for Game of Thrones. I'm really thankful for DVR. (I don't know what I ever did without it. I led such a sheltered life.) And that my husband returned our Dexter DVDs so that should keep me busy for a week or so...
And I guess I'm thankful for all those clothes that I'm probably going to spend all weekend picking up off the bedroom floor.
