Hi. I'm Kristin.

...with an i.

My husband is in the military so we move around a lot.

We have Wells, born in 2018 and then Sutton, born in 2022.

We have two hunting dogs named Scout and Jett, and they've been with us since 2013 and 2014.

Since I've started this blog, we've lived in Alaska, Missouri, Colorado, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Kansas, and now Missouri again.

I'm an elementary school teacher.

I've taught in 5 states over the last 13 years. In 2018, school ending coincided with Wells being born plus a move to another state, so I quit my job. After going back to work in 2020-2021, I also taught in 2021-2022...before quitting again to have another baby.

Some things:

The more I think about it, the more I believe that my favorite TV shows may be Breaking Bad (for storyline and character arcs) and The Office (for general comedy and absolute nostalgia purposes).

I think almonds are generally a waste of space in any sort of trail mix. I usually throw them away.

I hate being in my bare feet. In sandals? Sure. But in my bare feet at home? Nope. I sleep in socks 350 nights a year, I would bet.

Shorts > pants

I like weekdays better than weekend days.

TV > movies

I consider myself to be well-versed in:
military life
 cross-country moves
 prairie living
 education
 politics
  infertility

  4. I just read your guest post at pretty rambles and had to come by. I have read a few of your blog posts and I'm a fan of your honesty :) I wish you loved Alaska like I do though! I was born and raised there but alas, it isn't for everyone. It can be really freakin cold and in the spring when the snow is melting..bleh. But summer is pretty awesome. Anywho, just wanted to say hi and I'm glad I found your blog :)

  7. Hi Kristin! I'm Kristen with an "e"! I don't know if you have checked your email yet but we are scarf swap buddies!!!
I'm so excited about this swap not only because if gives me a reason to shop for someone else, go shopping in general, get a new scarf but to also receive and send something in the mail! I'm old fashioned when it comes to snail mail. Anyway, every where I go I have been checking out the scarves already :) I look forward to getting to know you and reading more of your blog! Have a great day!
